The event, organized by German Agency for International Cooperation in collaboration with the Responsible Business Hub Serbia (RBH) and the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce aims to address the pressing issue of decarbonization and its impact on Serbian enterprises acting as suppliers for European companies.
The decarbonization of production processes is an essential step towards achieving environmental sustainability and combating climate change. In this context, the European Green Deal and the Fit for 55 legislative packages places increasing pressure on European businesses to ensure responsible and sustainable practices throughout their supply chains. This pressure will turn to the Serbian suppliers, who are also obliged to comply with the European regulations that directly apply to their clients.
This conference will serve as a platform to discuss current international developments and the status of decarbonization efforts in Serbia as well as practical ways forward for enterprises to contribute to Serbia’s low-carbon economic development.
