
The fourteenth session of the working group for renewable sources and energy transition of the Zlatibor region was held in the premises of the Energy Consulting Center in Užice on August 1th 2025, organized by the Regional Development Agency Zlatibor. On behalf of RES Foundation, Jasminka Young, Aleksandar Macura and Filip Blagojević presented the process and methodology of creating the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) as well as initial analyzes in accordance with the methodology.
In addition to the presentation of the development process of the regional SECAP, the session provided an overview of activities by municipality and the exchange of experiences in the sustainable energy sector. There was also a presentation of the analysis of the solar potential of 10 cultural buildings in the region, as well as a presentation of 7 newly installed solar power plants on 6 public roofs in the region.
Activities were carried as part of the project “Improving the use of sustainable energy in the Zlatibor region”, which is financed by the German Organization for International Cooperation (GIZ), by order of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development – BMZ), and which is implemented by the Regional Development Agency Zlatibor. RES Foundation participates through the “Thematic2Green” project.
